These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Northline Home Ltd concerning your access to and use of the Services. UK Product Safety & Compliance

All electrical products we sell are required to carry UKCA or CE marking in accordance with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. If you believe a product does not meet this requirement, please contact us immediately.

All upholstered items we sell are required to comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 and include the permanent "CARELESSNESS CAUSES FIRE" label as required by law.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

By sending us any question, comment, suggestion, idea, or feedback ('Submissions'), you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use such Submissions for any lawful purpose without acknowledgment or compensation to you.

Your contributions

Where the Services allow you to post content ('Contributions'), you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, distribute, publish, translate, and exploit your Contributions for any purpose. You retain ownership of your Contributions but warrant that they do not infringe any third-party rights and comply with these Legal Terms.

We reserve the right to remove or edit any Contributions at any time without notice.

In the event of a pricing error, we will notify you promptly and give you the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are not affected by any term in these Legal Terms.

8. Prohibited Activities

You retain ownership of your Contributions. We are not liable for any statements or representations in your Contributions.

We reserve the right to edit, remove, or re-categorise any Contributions at any time without notice.

When posting reviews you must:

Not use offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
Not post false or misleading statements
Not be affiliated with a competitor when posting negative reviews

Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are not affected by this clause.

To the fullest extent permitted by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable UK law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from us. You agree that any notices or agreements provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing, to the extent permitted by UK law.

22. Miscellaneous

These Legal Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and Billing Terms & Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between you and Northline Home Ltd regarding the Services. If any provision of these Legal Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver. These Legal Terms may not be assigned by you without our prior written consent.

23. Product Safety and Installation Warning

Electrical Products:

All hardwired electrical products are intended for installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and applicable UK Building Regulations. Improper installation may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to property. Plug-in products should be used in accordance with the provided instructions.

Do not install hardwired electrical products yourself unless you are a qualified electrician
Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation
Comply with all relevant local building regulations and safety standards
Northline Home Ltd accepts no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper installation, failure to follow provided instructions, or use of products outside their intended purpose. This does not affect your statutory rights or our liability under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

Wax Warmers and Candles:

Never leave a wax warmer or candle unattended while in use
Keep out of reach of children and pets
Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials

24. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government actions, labour disputes, or failures of third-party service providers (including couriers and payment processors). We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and take all reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
