At Northline Home, we stand behind the quality of everything we sell. This Guarantee Policy explains the commercial guarantee we provide with your purchase, how to make a claim, and your rights as a UK customer — both under this guarantee and under UK law.
2-Year Guarantee
Northline Home LTD provides a 2-Year Guarantee from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
This guarantee is a voluntary commercial commitment. It is provided in addition to — and does not replace or limit — your statutory consumer rights under UK law.
What Is Covered
During the 2-year guarantee period, the following defects are covered:

Structural defects — faults in frames, supports, or core structural materials

Manufacturing faults — defects arising directly from the production process

Electrical and lighting components — failure of lighting or electronic parts not caused by misuse, improper installation, or external damage

Hardware defects — functional issues with hinges, handles, switches, or other mechanical components
Remedies
If a covered defect arises within the guarantee period, Northline Home will, at its discretion:

Repair the item using new or refurbished parts

Replace the defective product with a new or equivalent item

Issue a full or partial refund where repair or replacement is not reasonably available
We aim to resolve all confirmed guarantee claims fairly and without unnecessary delay.
What Is Not Covered
This guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. It does not cover:

Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, fading, or gradual material change

Damage caused by improper installation, incorrect assembly, or failure to follow product instructions

Accidental damage, including spills, burns, impact, or pet damage

Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorised modification

External causes such as power surges, water damage, or weather exposure (unless the product is explicitly rated for outdoor use)

Commercial, rental, or non-residential use unless stated on the product page

Consumable components such as light bulbs or batteries, unless defective on arrival
Your UK Statutory Consumer Rights

How to Make a Guarantee Claim
To start a guarantee claim, contact us at contact@northline-home.com with the following:

Your order number and proof of purchase

Clear photos or video showing the defect

A brief description of the issue and when it was first noticed
Our support team will review your claim and respond within 24 hours (Mon–Fri)
Please do not return any item before receiving written authorisation from us. If a return is required, we will provide clear instructions and a pre-authorised returns address.
Shipping Costs for Guarantee Claims
If the defect is confirmed as covered under this guarantee, Northline Home will cover reasonable shipping costs for repair or replacement.
If inspection determines the issue is not covered under this guarantee, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law:

Our total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or installation costs.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or liability under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
